Mouthwatering and Very Delicious In Taste. Nothing like the Honey In the Supermarkets
This honey is more suited for adults, as the taste may be strong for children. Has a malty caramel flavour which lingers without any bitter taste. This honey is less likely to set due to a low glucose content.
Colour: Brown.
Production Area: Aragon, Spain.
Benefits: Dark honeys (such as Oak) are high in antioxidants and rich in minerals. Raw Oak Honey gives a healthier gradual increase in blood sugar levels, but should be used in smaller quantities by those who are sensitive to sugar.
The oak honey is known for its antibacterial and antiseptic remedies. It is helps nourish the skin which is why it is used in many care products. Its antibiotic compounds help fight free radicals, which damage skin. It is known to soothe skin conditions such as sunburn, acne and eczema.
It also helps improve brain functioning. Oak honey aids the digestive process as it contains high levels on enzymes.
Excellent remedy to help tackle sleeping issues. Just one teaspoon can make a difference and aid with sleep. It provides enough glucose to feed the brain during the night.
Botanical Origin: Oak tree.
Honey and Crystallisation
Crystallisation is a natural process with honey so please do not be alarmed. Most supermarket honey does not set as quickly due to high heat processing and rapid cooling which keeps the honey runny for longer.
If your honey is set, you can make it runnier by placing it in a pan of hot water for about ten minutes (and repeat as necessary). Please store it in a warm place in the household but away from direct sunlight.
